Air Ecology
Not published. We looked and found nothing on this, which is a gap in what we could read, not a finding about the building.
Water Integrity
The property names a spring on the site, The Source, as the water the Estate is built around. Nothing accompanies it about treatment, filtration or laboratory analysis.
In their words: “For over two decades, COMO Shambhala Estate has drawn its sacred vitality from The Source, a natural spring revered by the Balinese.”
A third party publisher records the hydrotherapy and vitality pools as fed by the natural spring rather than from mains supply, with no treatment or disinfection method published.
In their words: “COMO Shambhala Estate sits in the jungle above Ubud with a locally sourced kitchen, natural spring-fed hydrotherapy and vitality pools”

Food and Kitchen
The kitchen's produce is published with a denominator and a named grower: all fresh fruit and vegetables come from Santika Farm in Bedugul, and more than 94 per cent of daily supply comes from suppliers within Bali. The share is the property's own figure, verified by nobody outside it, and the farm's growing method carries no certifier, so this is recorded as specified rather than measured.
In their words: “Over 94 per cent of our daily supply is sourced from local suppliers across Bali, with 100 per cent of our fresh fruits and vegetables sourced from Santika Farm in Bedugul.”

The Indonesian dining series is described as built on locally sourced ingredients and seasonal produce in collaboration with named categories of supplier, with no producer named.
In their words: “This dining series celebrates Indonesian regional heritage through time-honoured recipes, locally sourced ingredients and seasonal produce, created in collaboration with local farmers and artisans.”
Biophilic and Healing Design
The property runs a native planting programme with a published annual target, increasing the presence of native species on the estate by 5 per cent each year, and produces its own compost from landscape and food waste.
In their words: “We're dedicated to preserving Bali's natural heritage and are actively working to increase the presence of native plants on our property by 5 per cent each year.”

The site is described as 22 acres of riverine forest above the Ayung River, with a spring on the land, and the buildings placed within it. No planting inventory, outlook measurement or design method is published.

Disclosures
Compare what each stay offers, how it was checked and what still needs confirming. Assessment labels describe the review, not an overall quality rating.
A low score means a property has not published information. It does not mean the property is unsafe, unhealthy or poorly run.
A score describes proof: what a stay publishes and, on a Human Garage certified stay, what our assessor checked in person. It is not a quality rating of the property. Listings are free, and any commercial relationship is disclosed.
