About Verified Wellness Spaces

Verified Wellness Spaces is a travel listing platform, not a certification body. We find places to stay and show what each one publishes about air, water, light, EMF, materials, food, nature and sound, with the source for every claim.

Who runs it

The site is run by Ancient Rituals LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company doing business as Certified Wellness Spaces, of 1309 Coffeen Avenue, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, United States.

Verified Wellness Spaces is this index: a directory of places to stay, with a record for each one. It is the whole of what this company does here.

Human Garage is a separate company

It issues the Human Garage Certified Spaces (HGCS) certification and publishes its own programme.

The person who runs this index co-owns that certification, which he built with Human Garage, and does not own Human Garage. We say so because a reader weighing a mark should know who stands behind it.

What this site does not do

This site certifies nothing. It lists places and shows what each one publishes, with the source beside every claim.

It does not assess a property, award it anything, or issue a mark of its own.

Where a record shows a certification, that certification was issued by somebody else and the record names them: WELL by the International WELL Building Institute, Green Key by the Foundation for Environmental Education, and so on down the list on standards.

We report the mark, its scope and its dates. We do not grant it and we cannot withdraw it.

HGCS is the mark we are closest to

HGCS is one of those marks, and it is the one we are closest to. Human Garage Certified Spaces is issued by Human Garage, which publishes its own programme at humangarage.net/certified-spaces.

The person who runs this index co-owns that certification, so we say so rather than leave a reader to find out.

A record showing the HGCS mark is this index reporting another body’s certification, in the same words it uses for any other issuer, and the relationship is disclosed on the record itself.

What the mark means is set out on certified stays and in the terms.

How a record is made

Each record sets out what we know about a property across the eight pathways above, and how we know it.

Records are built from three things.

  • What the property publishes, on its own site and elsewhere.
  • What the property sends us.
  • For stays Human Garage has visited, what Human Garage saw in person, recorded as a visit note.

Every record shows its sources and the date we read them.

A low score, or a gap, means information was not published. It does not mean a property is unsafe, unhealthy or poorly run.

The full method, the evidence tiers and the criteria behind every pathway are on how we check.

What a record cannot tell you

Every record is a snapshot of what a property had published when we read it, and that date is on the page. Conditions change: a property can refit, change suppliers or replace a system at any time, and nothing requires it to tell us.

We re-read records and ask properties directly for updates, but there will always be a gap between what is true today and what was published when we looked. Use this as a frame of reference for what to ask, not as a substitute for asking.

Take your own questions to the property before you book, and tell us if you find something we have wrong.

Listings are free

Any property can be listed, free.

A listing cannot be bought, and no payment changes what a record says. A property cannot pay to be added, to be removed, to score higher or to appear higher.

How we earn

We may earn a commission on retreats and stays booked through Human Garage. Where Human Garage has a referral agreement with a stay, that commission is 15% of the bookings it refers, and the stay’s record says so.

It never changes a record, a visit note or a place in the directory. We also earn from courses we sell.

Corrections and the right of reply

We publish a judgement about a named business, so we publish an address to answer it at.

If something here is out of date or wrong, write to corrections@verifiedwellnessspaces.com. A property answering a record of its own can write to reply@verifiedwellnessspaces.com.

Corrections we make are logged in public, in the changelog. A property can also send evidence through the claim form.

Check us

Everything this index publishes is available as data, free to use with attribution: one row per claim, each carrying its source, the date we read it and how much weight it can hold. It is generated in the same build as the pages, so a file cannot disagree with the page beside it. See the data feed.

The inclusion and review rules say who qualifies for a record, how one is built, how a correction is checked and what would get a record removed. Where something is not settled yet, that page says so.
