A third party publisher records the sheets as Frette 100 per cent linen, and records the spa as Aveda-based with fragrance in some products, which is the stated reason the property sits at that publisher's lower tier.
In their words: “with Frette 100% linen sheets on the beds… an Aveda-based spa where select products contain fragrance. Without fully clean beauty, it lands Conscious”
Food and Kitchen
The dairy flock is published to breed: East Friesian, Lacaune and Assaf, predominantly East Friesian, milked on the property and turned into the cheeses served in the restaurants by the farm's own cheesemakers.
In their words: “Our flock includes three dairy breeds: east Friesian, Lacaune and Assaf.”
The garden publishes its method rather than its intent: soil built from composted kitchen and stable waste, seed saved from previous years, companion planting to repel pests and attract pollinators, and pest control by encouraging predator habitat instead of spraying.
In their words: “We manage pests in the Garden by promoting habitats for their predators. Instead of spraying chemicals, we plant various flowers that attract indigenous beneficial insects and let them do the work for us.”
Heirloom seed preservation is published as an ongoing practice of the garden, alongside truffle and mushroom cultivation on the property.
In their words: “Through our heirloom seed preservation, sustainable agriculture practices and truffle and mushroom cultivation efforts, we are continually learning and evolving the Garden to benefit both the natural ecosystem and our guests.”
Preserving, charcuterie and butchery are done on the property in a named Preservation Kitchen by an on-site butcher, using fruit and vegetables harvested from the garden and orchards.
In their words: “The small-batch products we make in our Preservation Kitchen honor the abundance of fruits and vegetables we harvest from our Garden and orchards.”
Chickens are described as heritage breeds free ranging on the pastures and supplying eggs to the kitchens, with no breed named and no share of supply published.
In their words: “We raise various heritage breeds of chickens at the Farm… you'll see our chickens free ranging the land and eating bugs, clover and anything else that looks tasty.”
Biophilic and Healing Design
The property describes itself as a working farmstead where guests move through the animal pastures, garden rows and trails as part of the stay, rather than viewing them. No design method, planting inventory or outlook measurement is published.
In their words: “Blackberry Farm is an active farmstead where you can indulge your curiosity by meeting farm animals, exploring the Garden and learning preservation methods that enhance our culinary dishes and signature products.”
A third party publisher records the estate as 4,200 acres in the Smoky Mountains, with gardens, farm animals and walking trails through it.
In their words: “Set on 4,200 acres in the Smoky Mountains, Blackberry Farm is a Southern farm luxury favorite… a sprawling estate that includes gardens, farm animals, and trails to explore.”

Disclosures
Compare what each stay offers, how it was checked and what still needs confirming. Assessment labels describe the review, not an overall quality rating.
A low score means a property has not published information. It does not mean the property is unsafe, unhealthy or poorly run.
A score describes proof: what a stay publishes and, on a Human Garage certified stay, what our assessor checked in person. It is not a quality rating of the property. Listings are free, and any commercial relationship is disclosed.
