Air Ecology
The property states that neither the healing studio nor the lodge has an HVAC system. The studio is heated by in-floor heating and relies on windows and ceiling fans for circulation. The lodge is heated by a propane fireplace, its heat source since the property is off the grid, and relies on windows and two ceiling fans for circulation. This was supplied by the owner by email on 6 September 2026.
In their words: “the healing studio and lodge do not have an HVAC system. The studio has in-floor heating and tons of large windows and ceiling fans to help with air circulation if needed in the summer months. The lodge has tons of windows and two ceiling fans for air circulation and is heated with a propane fireplace (heating source since we are off the grid).”

EMF Harmony
The property states that the Healing Sanctuary is intended as a place to disconnect from technology, that wifi reception in the area is poor, that a single Starlink satellite connection and one router serve the main house, and that there are no electronics elsewhere on the property except for business use in the house. In their words: “our Healing Sanctuary is a place to disconnect from technology. Where we are located in Ontario, the wi-fi reception is terrible. I have a Starlink satellite connected in our home and we only have 1 router. There are no electronics on the property (except in our home to use for business).”

The property states that blankets and bolsters in the Healing Studio are supplied by BHalfmoon, that pillows and eye pillows there are organic with buckwheat filling, and that cushions are made with low-toxicity foam. Biophilic and Healing Design
The property's own site states that the Healing Studio was designed by artist and architect Val Farrel, who applied the Golden Ratio to the studio, lounge and workout studio.
In their words: “The healing studio is a beautiful structure designed by artist and architect Val Farrel. When creating this space she specifically applied the Golden Ratio which epitomizes energy efficient flow.”
The property states that all three buildings were designed with a hygge intention, using low-VOC paints and neutral colour tones. This was supplied by the owner by email on 6 September 2026.
In their words: “all buildings were designed with the intention of making people feel calm and at peace. A hygge design was created in all three buildings, low VOC paints were used, neutral colour tones, windows that bring in the nature that surrounds the buildings and all spaces are decorated with house plants.”

Sound and Sensory Ecology
The property's own site states that the healing studio's acoustics were tuned by sound engineer and audio designer Jim Fabian to optimise the frequencies of its sound-healing instruments.
In their words: “The monolithic ceiling and acoustics in the sound healing room was further enhanced by the talents of Jim Fabian, sound engineer and audio designer. Jim worked extensively to optimize the frequencies from the sound healing instruments in the room to have the most positive healing effect on our guests.”
The property states it is a substance-free, fragrance-free facility, and separately discloses that it sells RootLove-branded candles and essential oils and uses them during some sessions the owner leads. In their words: “We are a substance-free and fragrance-free facility. We do have RootLove candles and essential oils for sale and I use them as part of my healing modalities for chakra healing. The candles are made with coconut oil and the essential oils are good quality.”
