A closer look at Helion Villas

Three private villas on the hills above Gouvia Marina, a few kilometres north of Corfu Town: Naldera and Elektra at Kommeno, Alpha in Gouvia village. Six, six and four bedrooms, each let whole by the week with housekeeping, breakfast made and a concierge, and a chef if you want one. Naldera was built by Lady Alexandra Metcalfe, daughter of Lord Curzon. They are family holiday houses of the well-kept kind, and the site says so plainly. What it also says, on every villa page, is the one thing most villas never mention.

Alpha has a spa level with a steam room, sauna, treatment room and gym, and its own floodlit tennis court. Naldera has a steam room for six and gym equipment by the pool. Elektra has a jacuzzi and the best view of the three. Baby cots and high chairs on request.

Seen on site: the visiting group's meals cooked to its own requirements, and a villa's wellness level with a steam room and sauna in use. The owner's account on camera of improved water, light proof night shutters, a bedside night light, soundproof windows and local organic produce is recorded as the property's statement, not as something we saw. EMF was the thinnest area of the visit and nothing is claimed on it. Which villa, and the scope of the visit, are not on file. We know the owners, and the property is a Certified Spaces client.
