By default, stays are ordered by the strongest kind of evidence on the record. Certified comes first: a credential from a named issuer, with its criteria, its scope and its date. Then seen in person, where someone from this index was at the property on a date. Then confirmed with the property, by a call or an email on a date. Then specified, where the property publishes a brand, a model or a number. Then claimed, where it says so without any of them. Then not published, where we looked and found nothing. Within a rung, stays are ordered by name.
Evidence ages, and the date is part of the claim. Every record says when we last read a source for it, and a record with nothing read in the last twelve months says so on its face. An old read is a gap in our reading. It is not a finding about the property.
