Materials and Textiles
Design press documents over 100 kinds of hand-painted and custom tiles through the interiors, and a ceramic mural by Los Angeles artist Ben Medansky, in a 1920s Curlett and Beelman building. Named makers and a counted tile programme; nothing is published on glazes or emissions.
In their words: “Over 100 different kinds of hand-painted and custom tiles were employed by Wearstler”

The hotel publishes its beds as dressed in imported linens and its baths as tiled, with no fibre, maker or certification named.
In their words: “Proper beds are dressed with crisp imported linens, tiled baths are inspired by Moroccan interiors”
The designer states the tile count on the record in design press: 136 unique types of tile, from vintage stock to custom runs. The same article names the makers: a graphite reception desk by ceramicist Morgan Peck, a hand painted ceiling mural by Abel Macias, bespoke stained glass by Judson Studios, and the building's original pink and white checkerboard floor retained.
In their words: “The design comprises 136 unique types of tile, from vintage to custom.”

The room linens are named to brand and fibre: 100 percent cotton Bellino.
In their words: “linens are 100% cotton Bellino”
Food and Kitchen
The hotel now publishes kitchen practice for its three restaurants, run with the Lucques Group of Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne: seasonal California ingredients, sustainably caught seafood, and cooking without seed oils or artificial dyes. Practices claimed by the property; no farm or supplier is named.
In their words: “Each menu celebrates seasonal California ingredients, sustainably caught seafood, and nutrient-rich preparations crafted without seed oils or artificial dyes.”

The group's nourishment page names the whole kitchen system at brand level: exclusively extra virgin olive, avocado, coconut and Zero Acre oil for high heat, organic and farmers-market produce with named partners Harry's Berries and Chino Farms, regenerative grains, grass-fed meats and free-range poultry, across every flagship kitchen.
It covers the operator or the group, not this property on its own.
In their words: “Our culinary teams cook exclusively with clean, stable fats: extra virgin olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil, and Zero Acre oil for high-heat applications.”

Disclosures
Compare what each stay offers, how it was checked and what still needs confirming. Assessment labels describe the review, not an overall quality rating.
A low score means a property has not published information. It does not mean the property is unsafe, unhealthy or poorly run.
A score describes proof: what a stay publishes and, on a Human Garage certified stay, what our assessor checked in person. It is not a quality rating of the property. Listings are free, and any commercial relationship is disclosed.
