A yoga retreat hotel on Jalan Batu Riti in Kuta, Lombok, a short walk from the beach and twenty minutes from the airport. Cabanas, bungalows and garden rooms under thatch around a pool, a ten bed dormitory, a four bedroom villa, and unlimited yoga classes in the room rate. It is not to be confused with Mana Earthly Paradise in Ubud, which is a different business on a different island. This one publishes less about its building, and what it publishes is plain.

The rooms
Every room type opens onto its own garden, balcony or terrace, and the cabanas and garden rooms have an outdoor bathroom. That matters more than it sounds: outdoor access from the room a guest sleeps in is one of the things this index scores under design, and it is published here for every category. The rooms are air conditioned, with Wi-Fi, hot water and a safe. Linen and towels are washed on request. Nothing is published about what the bed is made of, what the walls are painted with or what the lighting does after dark.
Water and waste
The property's most specific claim is underground. Every drain on the site, septic, shower, laundry and kitchen, runs through grease traps and six Biosafe septic tanks with four oxygenated chambers each, a named system installed against the odds of a wet season. Drinking water is free and filtered, with the filter unnamed and no panel published; the FAQ, written for the whole island, still suggests bottled water for teeth. One laboratory result for the tap would settle it.
The kitchen
Vegetarian and vegan, produce sourced locally, and one named decision: no palm oil, with locally produced coconut oil in its place. A named oil is a specification, which is why food is the pathway that reaches specified here. What the statement does not say is whether coconut is the only oil, so the seed oil line stays open, and no grower or organic share is published.
What is not here
No reading of any kind. Air, light, EMF and sound are all unanswered, and two of them score zero because the property publishes the thing the pathway asks it to manage, air conditioning in every room and Wi-Fi in every room, and nothing about managing it. A hundred solar panels, a cinema, a spa and daily classes are all recorded; none of them is evidence about the room you sleep in.

Mana Retreat Lombok at a glance
Mana Retreat Lombok is a villa resort in Kuta, Lombok, Indonesia. We read what it publishes about the eight things a building does to your biology and scored the evidence 7 of 24. Last verified 2026-09-06. Water Integrity is its best-documented pathway; nothing is published on Air Ecology.
The marker sheet
Eight building-biology pathways, each graded by the strength of its evidence. How grading works
- 0Nothing publishedNot publishedWe looked. They have published nothing about this.
- 1Their word for itClaimedThey say so, and name nothing behind it.
- 2Named and specificSpecifiedThey name the actual system, product, supplier or standard.
- 3Tested or verifiedMeasuredA published test result, a laboratory report, or an independent check: a certification body, or our own assessor on site.
Each of the 8 pathways scores 0 to 3, so 24 is the most any property can reach. Out of 24, because 8 of 8 pathways have been assessed. Unassessed pathways leave the denominator rather than counting as zero.

What is not published
Nothing on this record is a reading. Mana Retreat Lombok is a yoga hotel in the middle of Kuta, and what it publishes about its building is thin and honest: the wastewater system is named, the cooking oil is named, the trees were kept, and that is close to the whole list. On water, the drinking water is filtered with no filter named and no panel, and the FAQ itself points guests towards bottled water on the island. On air, every room type is published with air conditioning and nothing is published on filtration, ventilation or mould, so the pathway scores zero. On light, nothing: no lighting product, no blackout, no colour temperature. On EMF, free Wi-Fi is published for every room type and a power outlet at every dormitory bed, with nothing on overnight management or access point placement, so the pathway scores zero. On materials, soaps and repellents are unbranded and nothing is published on linen, mattresses or finishes. On food, coconut oil is named and no grower is. On sound, nothing is published; the property sits in a town and describes itself as an oasis in it, which is recorded and not scored. A hundred solar panels feeding the grid is energy, not a pathway. Nobody is named as founder, architect or builder on any page read.

Not published is not unsafehow to read these scores, and what this index does not promise
A low score means a property has not published information. It does not mean the property is unsafe, unhealthy or poorly run.
These scores measure disclosure. These scores describe disclosure, not property quality. This index has no commercial relationship with the properties listed unless a badge on the listing says otherwise.
Conditions change, and we will not always know. Every record is a snapshot of what a property had published when we read it, and that date is on the page. Conditions change: a property can refit, change suppliers or replace a system at any time, and nothing requires it to tell us. We re-read records and ask properties directly for updates, but there will always be a gap between what is true today and what was published when we looked. Use this as a frame of reference for what to ask, not as a substitute for asking. Take your own questions to the property before you book, and tell us if you find something we have wrong.
We report what properties publish. We do not inspect, certify or vouch for any property on this index unless a listing says we assessed it on site, and we accept no responsibility for decisions made or outcomes experienced on the basis of what you read here.
Right of reply. Anyone can correct this record at corrections@verifiedwellnessspaces.com. The property scored here answers at reply@verifiedwellnessspaces.com. Every change is logged on the changelog with the date and the reason, including when the change is ours.
Questions travelers askwater, air, EMF, and whether it is worth it
Questions travelers ask about Mana Retreat Lombok
Does Mana Retreat Lombok publish water quality testing?
Yes, and they name what they use: an actual system, supplier or standard is on the record, though no test result is published. Scored 2 of 3.
What is the air quality like in the rooms?
We can only report what is published about the rooms themselves. No. Nothing is published, and we looked. That is a statement about the public record, not about safety.
Is Mana Retreat Lombok low-EMF?
No measurement is published. Only 16 of the 112 properties we have researched publish any bedroom EMF information at all, so this is the industry norm, not an outlier.
Is Mana Retreat Lombok worth it?
We score evidence, not experience. On evidence, it ranks 74 of 112 researched records. The strongest documented pathways are Water Integrity and Food and Kitchen; nothing is published on Air Ecology or Light Rhythm.
