The app and your data
Most of what you do in the app stays on your phone. This page lists what leaves it, where it goes and when.
On your phone only
- Your profile: your name and email, from Sign in with Apple or typed in. We don’t receive them.
- Saved places, trips, your conversation with the concierge and star maps.
- Your blueprint (birth details and the answers you give) and your preferences and settings.
“Delete profile and data on this phone” in Your Spaces removes all of it. Only the public list of places stays, so the app still works offline.
Sent only when you use a feature
- Live answers (optional, asked once, off in Your Spaces). Your question, the recent conversation, your saved preferences, the places on screen and the date go through our server to Claude, an AI made by Anthropic, to be answered. A question asked on a place’s own page sends only the question and which place. Our server doesn’t store them.
- Your location (optional, only while you use the app). Rounded to about 100 m, it goes with a live question only when location and live answers are both on.
- Your blueprint’s travel hints. Only if you switch on “Use it in live answers” (off by default).
- Maps, search and directions. The map area on screen goes to Stadia Maps, OpenFreeMap and Esri for map images. What you type in search, with the middle of the map, goes to Stadia Maps. Start and end points go to Stadia Maps when you ask for directions.
- Photos. Loading a place’s photo connects to that place’s own website, or to our server for our own photos.
- Suggest a place. The place, town, link and note you send, and your name and email if you add them, go to our team to review.
- Talk to a person. Opens WhatsApp with a short note of the conversation. Nothing is sent unless you send it there.
The list of places comes from this website and asks nothing about you.
When it opens, the app asks Expo, the service that delivers its fixes, whether an update is ready. That sends the app’s version, your phone’s platform and a random number made when the app was installed, never your name or email.
What we don’t do
No advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, no analytics tools, and we don’t sell data.
Your choices
- Switch live answers and location on or off in Your Spaces at any time.
- Delete your profile and everything the app keeps on your phone in Your Spaces.
