A lake that was filled once
The centre of Krallerhof is a 5,500 square metre bathing lake with a 50 metre pool set inside it, built by Hadi Teherani as the ATMOSPHERE spa. The number that matters is not the size. The lake was filled a single time from the hotel's own spring, a third of its surface is planted, and evaporation and rainfall hold the level from there. The swimming water across the property is published as biologically maintained and chlorine free. Most hotels describe a pool by its temperature and leave the chemistry unsaid, which is exactly where the questions live. Krallerhof says what it does instead, and the remaining gap is narrow: nobody has published an analysis of what is in the water.

The village on the plate
Over half the kitchen's food is sourced regionally, with the organic focus on fruit, vegetables, cereals and dairy. Beef, milk-fed veal and the evening fish come from farmers in Leogang. Honey comes from the village, mushrooms and berries arrive in season, and two master bakers make the bread on site along with the jam and syrup. Both figures here are self-reported, and neither carries an audit, which is the usual state of food claims in hospitality. What lifts this one above the usual is that the suppliers are named down to the village, so it can be checked by anyone who cares to walk there.
The gap worth naming
Krallerhof publishes more measurements than almost any hotel of its size, and none of them describe a bedroom. Nothing is published on the wireless network, on where access points sit, or on what a sleeping area reads, so EMF Harmony is empty. Nothing is published on background noise or on the plant serving a spa this large, so Sound and Sensory Ecology is empty too. Lighting appears once, as energy-efficient LED, which is a utility decision rather than a circadian one. One room in the spa has a ventilation system chosen for allergy sufferers and no filter grade behind it. This is a property that already counts things. Four of the eight pathways are waiting for it to count these.

The bathing lake is described by its hydrology: 5,500 square metres filled once from the hotel's own spring, a third of the surface planted, and the level held by evaporation and rainfall rather than by refilling.
The 5,500 m 2 nature bathing lake means even more biodiversity for the nature around the Krallerhof. One third of the water surface is covered by a plant belt. The special feature: the bathing lake was only filled once with its own house spring, the natural cycle of evaporation and precipitation regulates the water level by itself.

What is not publishedthe gaps we looked for and did not find
Krallerhof publishes more numbers than most hotels in the index and none of them are about air, EMF or noise inside a room. Nothing is published on network topology, access point placement or field levels in a bedroom, so EMF Harmony is empty. Nothing is published on background sound levels, on separation between rooms, or on plant noise from a spa this size, so Sound and Sensory Ecology is empty. The relaxation room is described as having a special ventilation system suited to allergy sufferers, with no filter grade, air change rate or reading behind it, and nothing at all is published about the air in a guest room. Lighting is published only as energy-efficient LED in many areas: no colour temperature, no evening dimming schedule, no blackout specification. The bathing lake and the chlorine-free ponds are described by method and by size, and no water analysis, mineral profile or bacteriological result is published for the lake, the pools or a tap.

Not published is not unsafehow to read these scores, and what this index does not promise
A low score means a property has not published information. It does not mean the property is unsafe, unhealthy or poorly run.
These scores measure disclosure. These scores describe disclosure, not property quality. This index has no commercial relationship with the properties listed unless a badge on the listing says otherwise.
Conditions change, and we will not always know. Every record is a snapshot of what a property had published when we read it, and that date is on the page. Conditions change: a property can refit, change suppliers or replace a system at any time, and nothing requires it to tell us. We re-read records and ask properties directly for updates, but there will always be a gap between what is true today and what was published when we looked. Use this as a frame of reference for what to ask, not as a substitute for asking. Take your own questions to the property before you book, and tell us if you find something we have wrong.
We report what properties publish. We do not inspect, certify or vouch for any property on this index unless a listing says we assessed it on site, and we accept no responsibility for decisions made or outcomes experienced on the basis of what you read here.
